Last week you practiced noticing the pause between breaths—that stillness at the top and bottom.
This week, we go deeper. Not to the stillness, but to the exact moment before it. The turn itself.
This week from the Vigyan Bhairava Tantra: The Turning Point.
💡 THE IDEA

Think of a ball thrown into the air. There's the upward motion, the downward motion, and that split-second pivot where rising stops and falling begins. Most people see two states: up or down. But there's a third—the instant of reversal.
Your breath works the same way. Inhale becomes exhale. Exhale becomes inhale. And between them? Not a pause, but a turn. A pivot point so fast you'll miss it if you're not paying attention.
The ancient yogis discovered something radical: everything in life changes at a single point, not gradually. Emotions turn from joy to sadness at one moment. Situations shift from difficult to easy in an instant. Days turn from light to dark at a precise second.
If you can witness the turn in your breath, you can witness the turn in anything.
Change doesn't happen slowly. It happens at a point. Today, you learn to see it.🧘

🧘 THE PRACTICE: Catching the Turn
This builds on last week, but you're looking for something faster, more subtle. The turn isn't a pause—it's movement reversing direction.
Try this right now:
Sit comfortably and close your eyes
Breathe naturally—no control, just observation
As you inhale, feel the breath rising in your chest, throat, nostrils
At the very top, catch the instant when rising stops and falling begins—that's the turn
As you exhale, feel the breath descending
At the very bottom, catch the instant when falling stops and rising begins
Keep watching for these pivot points—they happen fast
The turn is like the apex of a pendulum swing. It's not stillness—it's the millisecond where direction changes. Blink and you'll miss it. Stay alert and you'll catch it.
Some breaths, you'll see it clearly. Others, your mind will wander and you'll completely miss the turn. Both are perfect. You're sharpening awareness, not achieving anything.
Time: 5 minutes daily this week
⚡ YOUR 5-MINUTE WIN THIS WEEK

Notice transitions in your day. Every time something shifts, pause and witness the turning point.
Try it 3 times this week:
Morning: That moment when you're asleep, then suddenly awake—catch the turn from sleeping to waking
Work: When switching tasks—notice the instant when your attention pivots from email to meeting, from coding to planning
Emotional: When your mood changes—can you catch the exact moment frustration becomes calm, or calm becomes irritation?
You're not trying to control the turns. You're just becoming aware that change happens at specific points, not gradually.
Set a phone reminder: "What's turning right now?" Three times today.
Total time: 5 minutes (1 minute of awareness, 3 times)
Everything changes at a single point. Once you can see the turn, you can't unsee it.
See you next Thursday,
🕉️ Nuantra
P.S. If you're practicing both Week 1 (the pause) and Week 2 (the turn), you're not doing too much. You're refining. They layer beautifully together.
